General Management, Effective Scouting and Drafting Talent

Below, I have compiled a list of all draft picks from 1999 (when Billy Beane took over as GM of the Oakland Athletics and began using statistical analytic methods) to 2005 who developed into good every-day players. Anything after 2005, and the players either haven't made it to the majors or haven't had time to show off in the majors. Basically, a good every-day player has accumulated a WAR of about five. In this list below, anyone who was close (about 4.6 or above), I allowed

New York Mets: 41999: Angel Pagan: 4, 136, 10.3
2000:
2001: David Wright: 1, 38, 32.6
2002: Scott Kazmir: 1, 15, 16.7
2003:
2004:
2005: Mike Pelfrey: 1, 9, 4.5 (5.7 oWAR)
