Scouting Report:

Brookwood righthander Lucas Sims is one of the top pitchers eligible for the 2012 draft.

 Sims has been increasing his fastball velocity and now throws 92 to 96 with a report as high as 98.  The fastball shows good movement.  He has a strong 12 to 6 curve that is from 73 to 77.  Sims’ low 80′s changeup also shows good potential.

Sims delivers from a high 3/4 slot.  He shows toughness on the mound that should serve him well at the next level.  Looking forward to the draft, Sims has a good chance to go in the first round
