Pill hasn’t lost in his last 14 appearances with Binghamton. Another guy ready for Vegas, but hopefully doesn't have the same "Peavey effect" on him, which is dominate AA, struggle in Vegas thin air since he pitches to contact. Hopefully more of a "Verrett effect" since neither if them have great control, but no plus-plus pitches.

Also, den Decker is now the PCL BACK leader, time to call him up and let the "Reyes effect" work itself into a AAA batting title for MDD.

Hopefully this comment had plenty of "effect"

Have a good day fellas!

Oh, and Herb Savannah played a double header last night with a Miller Diaz pitching a complete game (7 inning) 3 hit shut out, 5 ks, 2 bbs. Diaz is 6-1, 2.14 ERA as a 22 yr old is low A, which is right around league avg and another guy who might have been worth a promotion to further his development but want to appease Savannah for the playoffs. Diaz was 7-3, 2.03 ERA at Brooklyn last year, so certainly a guy to keep an eye on, but if anyone has seen him pitch, please let us know the scouting report since I haven't seen him I person, so not sure what he throws.

Also, hopefully it's nothing serious, but Dominic Smith left yesterday's night cap and was replaced by Matt Oberste in the 5th inning. Any report of injury?

We all know that Tyler Pill should be not only starting but batting clean up for Binghamton. Great pitching job there, and Rafael is back to being a stud, period. Miller Diaz is showing it's Miller time down in Georgia. Another nice evening in the minors, complemented by a NY Met win.

Lastly, Dekker on base 3 more times. Call him up. Play him.

Closer - I did see that 2nd game of Savannah's and meant to go back and enter it after I had finished the others, but it slipped through the cracks . . mostly because I get bleary eyed around 1 AM. But yes, Diaz certainly has earned a call up. I am wondering if they are holding numerous prospects back in their respective teams in anticipation of their playoffs at the end of this month.

Thomas - Re: den Dekker, he will be up there eventually. I have a feeling they are projecting him as the regular in LF (or maybe RF) for 2015, making an OF of Grandy - Lagares - den Dekker.

Another inexpensive OF in den Dekker? Wilpon's fondest dream!
