I find it interesting that burgamy is out playing winter ball......will the mets seriously consider keeping this 30+ year old in their organization?
I can name at least 4-5 outfielders who deserve starters playing time out in vegas come april 2015.

Ernest -

I believe players can cut their own deal with Latin American winter leagues and the association with the Mets may just still exist in the imagination of the writer

@Ernest

The only assignments Organizations make in regards to Winter Leagues is the Arizona Fall League.

All other leagues are at the discretion of the individual player. Some players may need permission from their organization in order to participate (i.e Cory Vaughn and Wilfredo Tovar) but others like Burgamy, the Mets dont really fuss over.

That said Burgamy is listed as playing for the Tomateros under New York Mets affliation.
