Mets Minor League Games - 5-15-15

Two in the win column and 2 in the loss column for the minor Metsies tonight .

Minor League Player of The Night - Xorge Carillo has hit very well most of the year, especially tonight with 5 ribs.

Honorable Mention -Steve Matz terrific again tonight, and a hit to boot. Took the lodd on a night that Vegas bats were Met-quiet.

AAA - Las Vegas - (4-12) 1 - Sacramento (19-17) 2

UT Eric Campbell - 'Soup' is on the way back to Queens and, hopefully, will provide the spark needed to get this offense back on track.

    LHSP Steven Matz - 7.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2BB, 9 K, 1.80

CF Darrell Ceciliani - 2-4, SF, .340. Will he replace Kirk soon?

AA - Binghamton  (20-15) 9 -  New Hampshire (17-18) 8

    RHSP Michael Fulmer -  6.0-IP, 6-H, 3-R, 3-K, 2-BB, 3.94

    C Xorge Carillo -    2-4, 2-R,  double, 1-HR (2), 5-RBI, .305

Mack - do we have another catcher prospect growing here? Well, we're not used to seeing Mets minor league catchers bat over .300, but the 26-year old is holding his own at the AA level and is starting to show possible major league backup material. We'll keep an eye on him throughout the season, though we sure wish he was doing this at, oh, let's say, 20 years old.

    3B Dustin Lawley -   2-4, 2-R, 1-HR (4), 1-RBI, .248

Dario Alvarez is another guy who's been very good in relief of late, but not tonight.

A+ - St. Lucie (15-20) 8 - Charlotte (24-11) 4

    RHSP Rob Whalen -   6.0-IP, 4-H, 3-R, 6-K, 2-BB, 2.50

    SS Amed Rosario -  2-4, 1-RBI, .252

    RHRP Mike Hepple -  2.0-IP, 0-H, 0-R, -K, 0-BB, 1.53

Mack - the 24-year old Hepple continues to impress at the A+ level and I look for him to move on ti Binghamton after the All-Star break.

Jeff McNeill 2 more hits and an HBP - up to .350.

RHSP Marcos Molina -    6-G, 6-starts, 1-4, 4.41, 1.44, 32.2-IP, 32-K, 8-BB

Mack - Molina is now listed on the St. Lucie roster as being on the 7-day DL. I've seen nothing cross the wire on him but Twitter was a flitter the other night saying he may be TJS-bound.

A - Lexington (15-19) 9 - Savannah (12-21) 3

    RHSP Casey Meisner -   4.2-IP, 7-H, 3-R, 4-K, 1-BB, 2.31

    LF Stefan Sabol -  2-4, 2-doubles, .267

    CF Patrick Biondi  -  2-4, 1-R, .306

Dave Roseboom has been superb - until tonight, when he got smacked around in his inning of relief.  Casey Meisner's worst start yet was not so bad.

GOAT: Hurts to do it, but season-long relief stud Dave Roseboom has an off night and so he gets the horns.
