Close to time to promote Dominic Smith? He's hit great since mid-April.

@Tom Brennan

I am under the assumption that Dominic Smith will follow the same development path as Brandon Nimmo.

2014: Full Season with Savannah
Strong Off-Season Strength and Conditioning Program
2015: Start with Port St. Lucie and Finish with Binghamton
2016: Start with AAA team (hopefully not Vegas by this time), July/August Call-up to MLB

Reasonable projection. Nimmo, though, was more flawed as a hitter then (more K's less hits). Smith as a pure hitter and a great glove could suddenly accelerate faster than your normal strong candidate. Elite hitters can just move faster. Gooden was elite and moved real fast.

I'm still holding out for a possible late 2015 debut. Just need to start adding a few HRs now, Mr. Smith.

Nimmo's K's were more a byproduct of his OVERpatience at the plate. Nimmo has really bought into the Organization philosophy of hunting strikes and his increased production at the plate is showing it.

Very true that elite players move fast. HR power will come next year once after he leaves Savannah.
