Boy, did the Mets' teams get great starting pitching. Even "mediocre" Molina with 11 Ks in 6 innings.
Nice to see Dom Smith go deep. McNeil and Mazzilli both hot in Lucie like they were earlier this year in Savannah. Nice.

Hey Mack, could you help out in something. I read on another blog (sorry) that Puello is out if options and needs to be on 25 man next year or becomes FA. Is this true even if they don't bring him up this year or can they start him in Vegas next year? If true, it makes limited time this year make even less sense. Doesn't sound right to me, do you his status for next year? Thanks

Yes, I also read somewhere (I think Toby Hyde) that he was out of options, but it made no sense to me because I always though it took running out of times being called up to Queens to have that happen.

I'm sure we will see him in September simply because there isn't that many people left to call up that is 'MLB ready'.

I wish I could hep you more here, but I don't know why he has run out of options.

Puello could be out of options if he has been on the 40 man roster for 3 years, since he has spent the last 3 years in the minors. If he was placed on the 40 man in 2012, he will be out of options in 2015.
